Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of school-based management in improving the quality of learning in SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Lubuk. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method with school-based management in improving the quality of learning as the variable. The sample in this research is 1 principal and 3 teachers of Economics subject. Technique of collecting data in this research is observation and interview. Observation result shows that the implementation of school based management in improving the quality of learning is seen based on three indicators, namely: (1) indicator of learning process quality which is obtained is 93.33%. (2) indicators of teacher quality which are attributed in the learning process is 77%. (3) indicators of availability of facilities and infrastructure is 83.33%. Then it can be concluded that the results of observational data to see school-based management in improving the quality of learning in SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Lubuk is included in good category with the percentage of 84.33%. Furthermore, for the learning process to run properly, it is suggested that the entire staff of teachers should be more disciplined in order to encourage the increased quality of learning, besides the teachers should follow the development of science and technology according to the national and international education era.
