Abstract

The aims this study are to determine the socio economic characteristics and what factors influence people in renovating the house in NUSP program. The research conducted by taking primary data through the questioner toward 100 people as the respondent. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis and logistic regression. This research’s result shows that the socio economic characteristics which influence the occurrence of renovating the house is education, intergenerational mobility and income. With the NUSP Program has a positive impact for the area in Seberang Ulu 1 Subdistrict, because the slum level has decreased even though it is still in slum category.
