Abstract

This research, titled "Network Analysis in the Information Dissemination Process of the NFT Phenomenon in Indonesia (A Study Using Discourse Network Analysis on 7 News Portals from January 2022 to February 2023)," explores the contrasting views surrounding the emergence of NFT technology in Indonesian society. The phenomenon has garnered significant attention in both mass media and social media platforms. The opinions and discourses expressed by different groups regarding NFTs have been widely reported in various media outlets. The study aims to depict the network of pros and cons and the discursive struggles presented by relevant actors involved in the NFT phenomenon. Employing a mixed-method approach utilizing quantitative and qualitative discourse network analysis, the research employs DNA software for data input and visualization through the Visone application. A total of 185 news articles were analyzed, divided into two periods. The findings illustrate the predominance of actors supporting NFTs compared to those opposing them. The most dominant discourse conveyed by NFT-related actors revolves around "Supporting Artists" with Ridwan Kamil being the most influential actor in this context.
