Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the teacher salaries influence their performance at SMAN 2 Muara Pinang Kabupaten Empat Lawang. The variables in this study are salary as an independent variable and teachers performance as the dependent variable. This research is a descriptive study with a population of 50 teachers using a saturated sampling technique (census) in which all populations were used as respondents. The method of data collection used is by using a questionnaires. The data analysis technique is used simple regression analysis. The result of this study indicates that salaries have a positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers at SMAN 2 Muara Pinang kabupaten Empat Lawang . Suggestions for the school to give a better salary to the part time teachers to read district minimum wage (UMK) because teacher salaries were very important in improving teacher health.
