Abstract

Skin care is an important part of lifestyle not only for the women, men also aware of the importance of skin care. Considering this circumstance, there’s no wonder so many skin care products sell in the market. To avoiding the possible problems of using not suitable skin care, it is required a recommendation system that will help and give personalized suggestion products based on the preferences of the user. Recommendation system providing suggestions that efficiently narrowing down the amount of information so that user is directed to the items that might be suitable for their skin. The method used in this paper is Content Based Filtering with the K-means clustering for the suggestion product calculation and the programming language used is PHP using Codeigniter framework. The result of the study is this system can recommend skin care products for the users based on their liked products so that the users would find products that might be suitable for their skin.
