Abstract

The research on the effect of NaOH concentration and temperature on the synthesis of CoFe2O4 to the structure, magnetism and surface area by coprecipitation method. NaOH concentrations were varied from 1M, 2M and 3M, while temperature were differently set as 30oC, 60oC and 90oC. The resulting of CoFe2O4 was characterized by using XRD and VSM. The spectra from XRD shows sharp peaks at 2θ = 18.3, 30.3, 35.79, 57.3, 62.9 which indicated a CoFe2O4 peaks based on JCPDS No. 65- 3107. Highest crystallinity was shown at CoFe2O4 the synthesized with 1M NaOH and temperature of 60oC. Magnetism properties was reached highest number as 22.17 emu/g at CoFe2O4 with synthesize by 3M NaOH and 90oC of temperature. The largest surface area as 1.7389 m2/g was achieved at CoFe2O4 thet synthesize with 1M NaOH and temperature of 60oC
