Abstract

Kemampuan tanah meloloskan air dimana air tersebut menembus tanah rnelalui pori-pori tanab baik secara horizontal maupun vertikal disebut perrneabihtas tanah. Pengujian yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah pengujian perrneabilitas menggunak.an metode Fa/Jing Head yang dilakukan di laboratorium. Sampel tanah yang diuji adalah tanah lempung ekspansif yang distabilisasi dengan proses ele.ktrokinetik. Pengujian dilaku.kan dengan tiga variasi besar tegangan yang dialirkan yaitu 3 volt, 6 volt, dan 9 volt. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien permeabilitas tanah yang telah dilakukan proses elektrokinetik mengalami penurunan dibandingkan dengan nilai koefisien permeabiljtas tanah asli setelah dijenuhkan dan sebelum proses elektrokinetik. Selain itu metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian juga dapat mempengaruhi nilai koefisien permeabilitas tanah. Nilai koefisien permeabilitas tanah asli adalah 8,76x10~ cm/detik. Nilai koefisien penneabilitas terendah terjadi setelah tanah dialiri listrik sebesar 9 volt pada Metode II yaitu 4,12x10-6 cm/detik.
