Abstract

This research entitled "Application of Jigsaw Type Learning Model to Improve Student Learning Result of Chemistry Class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Lahat", to improve the learning process of chemistry class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Lahat and know whether or not the increase of learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Lahat 2015-2016 academic year which amounted to 25 students. The method used in this research is Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), which is conducted in 2 cycles. Before the research study of students learning outcomes was 48% (12 students) with an average of 72.4. Based on the result of the research, in the first cycle, the students learning achievement is 68% (17 students) with an average of 70,8 and 70,4% student activeness, and the second cycle of student learning result is 88% (22 students) with an average of 81,2 and student activeness equal to 85,6%. Of the two cycles performed indicate the increase in learning outcomes and student activeness and has reached KKM and completeness of learning in a classical. Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) for chemistry class XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Lahat is 75. Students declared complete in individual study if the value reaches ≥ 75. And completeness of learning in classical if in the class has been there 85% students of the total number students who scores ≥ 75.
