Abstract

This research aimed to determine the water requirements and coefficient of rice plant in companies owned by PT. Buyung Poetra Pangan. This research was conducted from January to June 2019. The research used an experimental method with descriptive data presented in the form of tables and graphs. The parameters considered were the net water requirements of rice paddy field, evapotranspiration, coefficient of crops, and percolation. The results showed that the net water requirements from April to June were 3.26 mm/day, 6.15 mm/day and 11.48 mm/day. The actual evapotranspiration (ETc) from the initial season, crop development, mid season, and late season were 1.23 mm/day, 2.57 mm/day, 2.64 mm/day and 1,57 mm/day, for plant coefficients (Kc) respectively were 0.42, 0.89, 1.003 and 0.62. The largest evapotranpiration values ​​and plant coefficients were occured during the growth period of 31 to 65 days or mid season. Percolation values ​​for each growth rate were 0.27 cm / day, 3.24 cm/day, 4.23 cm/day and 10.63 cm/day. This research showed that the magnitude of actual evapotranspiration had the same pattern of changes as the plant coefficients, transpiration, and evaporation of its results. Whereas for the evapotranspiration and reference evaporation that has been calculated from meteorological data had a value that was not significantly different than actual evapotranpiration and evaporation measurements in the field.
