Abstract

Tujuan dari Penelitian ini menganalisis keefektifan dari Keputusan Menteri Tenaga Kerja terkait Moratorium Penempatan PMI ke Timur Tengah dalam rangka perlindungan pekerja Migran Indonesia Asal Kabupaten Indramayu dan dalam penelitian ini Moratorium Timur tengah menjadi subjek penelitian. Peneliti akan menjelaskan dampak dari kebijakan Moratorium Timur Tengah no 260 dalam melindungi pekerja migran indonesia diarab saudi asal indramayu. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif dimana teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa moratorium timur tengah cukup berdampak pada pengurangan kasus permasalah pmi timur tengah namun masih kurang efektif sebagai kebijakan perlindungan PMI karena: 1. PMI masih dibolehkan bekerja sedangkan pmi masih sering mendapatkan gaji dibawah standar dan bahkan tidak digaji. 2. PMI informal yang bekerja di arab saudi tidak memiliki kontrak kerja 3. Pemerintah arab saudi belum ada uu ketenagakerjaan sektor informal dan masih menerapkan sistem kafala. 4. Moratorium mendorong lahirnya pekerja non prosedural atau ilegal yang mana berdampak pada lemahnya perlindungan pada pekerja migran indonesia.
