Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) Analyze farmers’ behaviors in pineapple as intercropfarming business practice, 2). Analyze the amount of production and income of pineapple asintercrop farming business, 3). Analyze the correlation between farmers’ behaviors inpineapple intercrop as farming business with their productions and income. This research was conducted in Tanjung Medang Village, Kelekar Sub-district, Muara Enim Regency. Data collection at research location on May 2018. The method of this research used survey method by taking samples from population of pineapple asintercropping farmers in the village that using questionnaires as data gathering tools. The sample farming techique was done by simple random sampling by taking 34 samples from 148 farmer population of pineappleas intercropping farmers. The data collected in this research were primary data and secondary data. Based on the results of the research, the behavior of pineapple farmersas intercrop that categorized as high criteria with an average score of 169.65. The averageamount productionof farmers from the results of pineapple intercrop farmingwas 24.547 per fruit per planted area per planting season. The averageincome of farmers from the results of pineapple intercrop farming was Idr 42.552.070,- per planted area per planting season. There was no correlation between behavior and production of pineapple intercropping farmers.There was no correlation between behavior with farmer income of pineapple intercrop farming.
