Abstract

A management process is needed to be able to manage the program on the radio station. Because broadcasting a program that attracts and retains listeners must be able to manage it according to the functions and aspects of management properly. The purpose of this study was to find out about the implementation of broadcasting management strategies for the local culture program Pro 4 RRI Palembang in retaining listeners. This study uses a qualitative method. The theory used in this study is Peter Pringle's theory, with a four-aspect approach to broadcast management, namely program planning, program production and purchasing, program execution, and program monitoring and evaluation. Data collection is done by conducting in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with several informants related to program broadcasting and program planning management for the Pro 4 RRI Palembang broadcast program. The results of this study indicate that the RRI Palembang Pro 4 Program Broadcasting Management strategy has been well planned, in terms of the four aspects of management strategy or management that are utilized according to their respective portions.
