Abstract

The technology that grow rapidly has an impact on the increasing use of computers including workplace usage, one of them in the Banking Institution. Many Bank employees report experiencing visual complaints that are often called Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). This study aimed to analyze the risk factors of CVS complaints to employees of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Prabumulih branch office. This research was analytic descriptive with cross sectional research design. The research location is Bank Rakyat Indonesia Prabumulih branch office. The population of the study were employees of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Prabumulih branch office with a sample of 62 people. Sampling was done by total sampling technique. The data analysis was univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with chi square statistic test. The results showed the prevalence of CVS complaints of 77.4%. The result of the statistical test showed the gender variables (p value = 0,002), the duration of work (p value = 0,020), the duration of rest (p value = 0.0001), visibility (p value = 0.0001), lighting (p value = 0.0001) had an effect on CVS complaints. The age variable (p value = 0.524) did not affect the complaints of CVS. The result of multivariate analysis showed that duration of rest had the most influence on CVS complaints. It can be concluded that CVS complaints on employees of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Prabumulih branch office are influenced by sex, duration of work, rest duration, visibility and lighting level.
