Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of public relations in providing information to Journalists in Prabumulih City Government. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews to the head of sub-section of public relations and expert staff in the field of public relations Prabumulih city government and observations in Public Relations Unit Prabumulih Municipal Government. The dimensions used by Rosady Ruslan are communicator, relationship, back up management and corporite image. Based on the data that has been obtained can be seen that the dimension communicator (linking) relationship (relationship building), management back up (management support) and corporite image (build image), can be disimpulakan either because Role of Public Relations In providing information to journalists have fulfilled Hope Public Relation and Prabumulih City Government.
