Abstract

Nursing services are one of the factors that influence the success of hospitals because they provide continuous service for 24 hours. From the RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang site in 2017 the percentage of patient satisfaction in August was 78% which experienced a decrease of around 12.12% from July in the Inpatient Installation of RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang. This study was to determine the relationship between nursing care and patients at the RSI Siti Khadijah Hospital in Palembang. This research is a quantitative research design with cross-sectional sampling using purposive sampling. The sample was obtained as many as 66 respondents with inclusive criteria> 1 day. Analysis of research data using univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. The prevalence of patients who were less satisfied was 37.9%, the results showed no relationship between age (p-value = 0,740) and status of service with patient satisfaction (p-value = 0,137), there was a relationship between gender (p-value = 0,049), education (p-value = 0,016), length of stay with patient satisfaction (p-value = 0, 027), and there was a significant relationship. Inpatient nurses at RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang (PR = 21,656; 95% CI: 5,791-80,991). It is recommended that RSI Siti Khadijah Palembang Hospital to facilitate programs for nurses caring skills through training on nurses caring behavior, providing routine guidance and motivation every morning for nurses, forming role models from superiors and periodically supervising caring behavior so as to increase patient satisfaction
