Abstract

PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk has a new limestone production target of 5 million tons in 2019, this target is different from the previous year which was only 3.5 million tons. Increased production targets require companies to evaluate the performance of drill tools and analyze factors that can hinder drilling activities. The purpose of this study is to determine the barriers to drilling performance and optimization efforts that must be made to meet the new production target in 2019. The research was conducted in the Nusakambangan quarry area. The actual drill productivity for January 2019 was 6309 tons / day while the daily drilling production target was 17,361 tons / day. The factors that influence the performance of the drill in January 2019 are the drilling speed is not optimal, the equivalent volume is not according to plan, the work efficiency of the drill bit is small and the lack of supervision when drilling activities take place. by increasing the work efficiency of the drill tool, increasing drilling speed, and strict supervision of drilling activities including the determination of drill hole points, the productivity of drill tools increased to 17,872 tons / day which has met the 17,361 tons / day daily production target .
