Abstract

Biochar can improve fertility, physical properties and soil biology so as to increase crop production. The aimed of this research was to know the growth of genjer plants with some comparison dose on biochar application. The study was conducted from September 2017 to November 2017 at TOP Housing Complex TOP (Taman Ogan Permai) Jakabaring, Palembang. The design used was Randomized Block Design with 5 streatments and 5 block , each plot consisting of 2 plants. The treatments were B0 (control), B1 (1 ton/ha), B2 (2 ton/ha), B3 (3 ton/ha), B4 (4 ton/ha). The results of research showed that B4 biochar (4 ton / ha) gave the best treatment, can increase the growth of genjer crops from low level applications.
