Abstract

Coal mining used at PT SaptaindraSejati applies an open-pit mining system with the strip mine method because of the relatively flat and various layers of coal deposits. One of the factors that influence the productivity of a tool is the production road used. The production road connecting the front west to the west disposal area is ± 1000 meters. The production road in PT SaptaindraSejati consists of 10 segments. The analysis of each segment turns out to be able to know several parameters that cause obstacles at the time of transport of the conveyor, such as the carrying capacity of the soil and the geometry of the road. Then it is necessary to improve the geometry of the production road on a 27-meter wide track, in addition to making a cross slope of 54 cm so that the height difference between the inner and outer sides must be made 54 cm, and road pavement in certain segments based on the test results using method. The name of methods is Dynamic Cone Penetrometer or DCP which functions to know the carrying capacity of the soil so that after repairs and pavements have been obtained the increase in productivity is initially at 19.80 km/h to 23.50 km/h and an increase in speed when empty at the beginning of 37.90 km/h to 40.00 km/h. In addition to the speed of the conveyance, the existence of road repairs can affect the productivity of the conveyance which was originally 231.75 bcm / hour to 236.22 bcm / hour
