Abstract

Coal mining activities in PT. Bukit Asam, Tbk, on the North Muara Tiga Besar pit, it was done by two methods, namely using backhoe and truck methods and using BWE systems, the main mining used was backhoe and truck while the BWE system was only used to extract temporary stock to the stock file. In coal mining there are several steps that must be done before coal can be loaded into the dumptruck using a backhoe excavator, one of which is the stage of coal ripping, namely the process of coal removal from in situ to be separated, in the process of coal loading will result in fragmentation or size of coal flow that must be in accordance with the screening size of reclaim feeder 2 so that it does not create obstacles that can reduce coal production. Based on the coal production target, it was planned to reclaim feeder 2 of 600 tons / hour in the actual state of coal production to reclaim feeder 2 of 532.32 tons / hour in April 2018, the failure of coal production to reclaim feeder 2 in April 2018 was caused by the high amount of oversized coal held in the reclaim screening feeder 2, so that the dumptruck that will do coal dumpping must wait for the backhoe komatsu PC 200 to break up coal held in the screening reclaim feeder 2. Reclaim feeder 2 gets feed directly from the front transported using dumptruck, coal transported is the result of scattering of D375A bulldozers, at the time of observation on the front of coal ripping mining using a crosslinking method using 1.5 meter spacing and the amount of oversized coal every dumping dumptruck an average of 4.47 oversized coal chunks which inhibits coal production, in the evaluation use diamond ripping method and minimizing ripping spacing by changing to 1 meter, in order to reduce the amount of oversized coal to 1.8 oversized chunks, this decline helped accelerate the dumping of coal dumpping into reclaim feeder 2 so that the production target can be met to 660.60 tons / hour. Based on observations in the field the cause of oversize coal is still due to the operator's expertise in estimating the ripping spacing that is used is not according to the plan so that oversized coal is still formed, and there is a batupack impurity that contributes to increasing the amount of oversized coal.
