Abstract

The purpose of this research were 1) Described the pattern of coffee planting with and without grafting treatment in Aromantai Village, Pulau Beringin Subdistrict, South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, 2) Analyzed the factors that affecting coffee production with and without grafting treatment in the Aromantai village, Pulau Beringin Subdistrict, South Ogan Komering Ulu District, 3) Analyzed the comparison of coffee farm income with and without grafting treatment in Aromantai Village, Beringin District, South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This research was conducted in Aromantai Village, Pulau Beringin Sub-District, South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The determination of location has done purposely. The research was conducted from October to December 2017. The used method was survey method. The data collection methods included primary data and secondary data. The pattern of cultivation of grafted coffee or ungrafted in terms of cultivation have a minimum differences such as in the phase grafting and the production results. In terms of fertilization, treatment of twigs, weeding, pest controlling and harvesting methods have no significant difference in treatment either with grafted coffee or ugrafted coffee. The usage of production factor in coffee farming in the form of land and NPK fertilizer have significant effect, while urea, pesticide and labor have no significant effect. For the factor production in ungrafted coffee farming of urea fertilizer have significant effect, while the land, NPK fertilizer, pesticide and labor have no significant effect. The income of farmers who using a grafted coffee plantation was IDR. 20,721,584.00 per hectare per year higher than the income of ungrafted coffee amount to IDR. 14,190,763.00 per hectare per year with the difference of was IDR. 6,530,821.00 per hectare per year. The productivity of grafted coffee was 1,254 kilograms per hectare per year higher than the unbroiled coffee garden was 873 kilograms per hectare per year with the differece of productivity was 381 kilograms per hectare per year.
