Abstract

This study aims (1) To measure participation rate of women farmer group in P2KP Program in Palembang City, (2) To calculate the contribution of utilization of P2KP Program to household food consumption expenditure of women farmer group and (3) To analyze the correlation between the participation of women farmer group in P2KP Program and it’s contribution to household food consumption expenditure of women farmers. This research was conducted in four urban villages namely Sei Lais Village, Bukit Sangkal Village, Karya Mulya Village and Suka Mulya Village, Palembang City. The method used in this research was survey method. This study took 40 samples out of 60 population and the data collected in this research were primary and secondary data. The results showed that (1) The participation of woman group members in the P2KP program in Palembang City was included in the high category with an average score of 55.05 (score range 49.00 <x ≤ 63.00), (2) The contribution of P2KP program in saving the expenditure of household food consumption of women farmer in Palembang city is 9,8% equivalen to Rp.125.700,00/month. While the remaining 90.2% of food needs still must be obtained by buying, (3) Based on the calculation of rank spearman correlation obtained, z arithmetic < z table is 0,087 < 1.96 which means that the decision rule taken is Ho accept, meaning there is no relationship between the participation of women farmer group members in the program P2KP to the contribution of household food consumption expenditure.
