Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas VII pada pembelajaran statistika menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dengan konteks Kampung Pempek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif melalui tes, wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan indikator kemampuan numerasi terdapat 37% siswa mampu menggunakan berbagai macam angka dan simbol yang terkait dengan matematika dalam berbagai macam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari, 67% siswa mampu menganalisis informasi yang ditampilkan dalam berbagai bentuk (grafik, tabel, bagan dan sebagainya), dan 64% siswa mampu menafsirkan hasil analisis tersebut untuk memprediksi dan mengambil keputusan. Pada penelitian ini, siswa kelas VII.7 SMP Negeri 26 Palembang terkategori memiliki kemampuan numerasi sedang dalam menyelesaikan soal tes menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dengan konteks Kampung Pempek Palembang pada materi statistika.
