Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the various doses of N and P fertilizers on the growth and yield of shallot crop (Allium ascalonicum L.). This research was conducted from October 2017 to December 2017 in Experimental Station, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. This research used Randomized Complete Block Design factorial with 16 treatments and 3 replications. The first factor was N fertilizer consisted of 4levels, namely (100 kg ha-1, 150 kg ha-1, 200 kg ha-1, and 250 kg ha-1) and the second factor was P fertilizers consisted of 4 levels , namely (160 kg ha-1, 220 kg ha-1, 280 kg ha-1, and 330 kg ha-1). The results showed that the combination of fertilizer N 150 kg ha-1 and P 160 kg ha-1 (N2P1) was able to increase the plant height and dry weight of bulb. The correlation analysis overall dry tuber weight with plant height, number of leaves, number of tuber, overall fresh tuber weight, and fresh weight tuber showed a very positive correlation.
