Abstract

The aims of the research are to study of the physical and chemical properties of soil as well as the study of land suitability for nana plants in bangun sari village, Tanjung Lago Banyuasin District. This activity was carried out in April 2018 in Bangun Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin. This study using an intensive level scale survey method with an area of ± 8 Ha with 1: 6000 scale. Sampel point with 8 points, each sample point represents 1 ha. The parameters used are drainage level, effective depth and sulfidic depth. The parameter referred to in the laboratory are soil physical properties in the form of texture and pH namely pH, N-total, P2O5, K2O, CEC, C-Organic, Salinity, and Alkalinity. To improve the actul land suitability class Being a potential land suitability class needs improvement and provision of additional inputs. The limiting factor that can be improved is the limiting factor that does not support KCL, the soil pH limiting factor can also be improved by input input in the form of lime, and other limiting factors that can be improved related to the scanner for repairing the drainage system and water management at the research site to maintain water levels soil so that the pyrite content in the soil is not oxidized. Other limiting factors that cannot be fixed are air limiting and rainfall factors where these limiting factors are not economical to repair if used for large land area, but can be improved for the use of kecik land by using war, for the location of this research which is 8 ha so can not be used. So, the potential suitability of land for pineapple plants at the location of this study is S2-tw, which is sufficient in accordance with the limiting factor in air temperature and rainfall.
