Abstract

Swamp forage is one of feed materials which used for solving the deficient of feeding the forage for livestock caused by limited of the availability of swampy land. One of feed processing for increased the nutrition values of Bento Rayap (Leersia hexandra) was fermentation processed, which process need addition of some materials, such as Hi-Fer⊕. Hi-Fer⊕ is durable forage from which used additive solution fermented, which packed commercially, easy storage, carriage, transportation and practical of feeding the livestock as well as increased the livestock productivity. This study was held on February until March 2017 in Animal Feed and Nutrition, Animal Science Department Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University. This study used a completely randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 4 replicates. Treatments consisted of P0 (Swamp Grass control), P1 (Swamp Grass + 0,4% Hi-Fer⊕), P2 (Swamp Grass + 0,8% Hi- Fer⊕) and P3 (Swamp Grass + 12,% Hi-Fer⊕). The observed variables were digestibility of dry matter, digestibility of organic matter and concentration of N-NH3. The results of this study showed that all of the treatments were not effect (P>0,05) to digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and concentration of N-NH3. The conclusion of this study was using of Hi-Fer⊕ in the fermented of Bento Rayap (Leersiahexandra) until 1,2 dosage wasn’t increase the digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and N-NH3Bento Rayap(Leersiahexandra).
