Abstract

Career maturity is a developmental task that begins to be formed from childhood in order to achieve an optimal career in the future. The development of career maturity in children can be provided in various career learning media. This research aims to develop a media board game snakes and ladders in group games at SD Negeri 05 Indralaya that is valid and practical. This research uses research and development (R&D) research methods with the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation) development model. The subjects used in this research were class IV students at SD Negeri 05 Indralaya. The data collection techniques used were media validation sheets, language, game instructions, and career maturity questionnaires. The research results show that the snakes and ladders board game media has met the validity criteria after expert validation tests and practical tests. In the practicality test, the practicality score for the one to one test was 82%, the small group test was 83% and the field test was 84.5% with the third category being very practical. It is hoped that this research will be of practical use by being used as a learning medium in increasing the career maturity of elementary school students.
