Abstract

An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of ulilization level of urea on quality of midrib palm oil. This experiment was carried out at Nutrition and Animal Feeding Laboratory of Nutrion and Animal Feeding Department Agriculture Faculti, Sriwijaya University and Laboratory of Nutrion of Ruminatia and Animal's Feed Chemical, Animal Husbandry Faculty, Padjadjaran University. From May to September 2005. The experiment design was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The Treatmen that 0% urea (A), 2% urea (B), 4% urea (C) and 6% urea (D). Parameter that analyzed was dry matter, crude protein, NDF (Neutral Detergent Fiber) and ADF (Acid Detergent Fiber). The data were analized using anova (analisys of variance) and the analyzed using Duncan's multi range test. Result of experiment showed that treatment significantly different (P<0.05) for dry metter, crude protein, NDF and ADF. It was concluded that level of urea 4% gave good quality of midrib palm oil.
