Abstract
This study aims to determine the characteristics of the travelers, economic value, and the factors that influence the demand for recreation to the nature tourist area of the Kemaro Island. The data used are primary data by direct interviews with visitors. Applied to the analysis of travel cost method (TCM), and examine the factors that influence the estimation method of multiple linear regression. Based on estimates of economic value Kemaro Island Nature Park in the form of a willingness to pay, the sacrificed value, and consumer surplus per 1,000, respectively Rp.158,880, Rp.126,595, and Rp.32,285. For the estimation of regression showed that the statistics variable travel cost, income, distance, education, age, and working time to simultancouslyprovide real impact on recreation demand. While testing t-test showed that the travel cost, income, distance, and education has a significant effect on the amount of local tourist visits. While,the age and working time has no effect on the demand for recreation to the nature tourist area of the Kemaro Island
