Abstract
THE USE OF INSINUATION LANGUAGE STYLE IN TV SHOW "LAPOR PAK!" JUNE 2022 EDITION AND THE IMPLICATIONS FOR INDONESIAN LANGUAGE LEARNING ABSTRACK This study aims to describe the use of insinuating language styles in the June 2022 edition of the TV show “Lapor Pak!”, the meaning of the insinuating language styles, and their implications for Indonesian language learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research data are words, phrases, or sentences spoken by the participants of the June 2022 edition of the TV show “Lapor Pak!”. The data source is the video of the June 2022 edition of the TV show “Lapor Pak!” uploaded by Trans7 television station on its YouTube channel from 1 June to 30 June 2022. This research uses listening and note-taking techniques with the following analysis steps: 1) Identifying data based on the variety of insinuating language styles, 2) Classifying the results of data analysis based on the number of insinuating language styles found, 3) Describing each variety of insinuating language styles based on the results of data classification, 4) Examining the meaning and meaning of each variety of insinuating language styles, 5) Implementing research results for Indonesian language learning, and 6) Concluding the results of the analysis systematically in the form of a final report. Based on the analysis, 80 data of sarcastic language style were found in 113 videos of “Lapor Pak!” June 2022 edition. Of these, there are 17 data of irony, 27 data of cynicism, 27 data of sarcasm, and 9 data of satire. The implication of this research shows that the insinuating language style in TV shows can be an effective learning material in teaching Indonesian language anecdote text sub- material, helping students understand, appreciate, and assemble anecdote text independently.
