Abstract

The research area is located in the Air Tenam and Surrounding, Ulu Manna Subdistrict, South Bangkulu District, Province Bengkulu. Tectonically located in the Bengkulu Basin, which is one of the basins behind the volcanic arc (Forc Arc Basin) on the island of Sumatra. The methods used in the study literature, field observation, studio analysis, laboratory analysis in the form of petrographic analysis, paleon analysis, and motion analysis. The purpose of this research is to know the geological condition through the geomorphology aspect, the settling arrangement, and to know the geological structure that developed in the research area. The form of land formed in the form of denudational structural, Vulcanic research. Denudational Weak (DW), Denudational Strong, structural land of Fault Scraps and Fault Line Scraps / Escarpments, and Vulcanic Of Slope (VS). Stratigraphy the study area is composed of three deposits from Kala Oligocene – Central Miocene. The first precipitation occurred in the Late Oligocene - Early Miocene is the andesite unit (Tomh) influenced by volcanic activity, in the Early Miocene - Middle phase of sea level rise above the andesite rock unit which caused the sedimentation of clones (Toms), then happened intrusion rock in research area in the form of granite intrusion (Tmg) at Middle Miocene moment. In the study area also developed the friction and fracture that occurred pressure compression style when Late Miocene. The crease formed in the form of Manna Hijau Siklin, while the fault that formed the Pulau Timun Thrust Fault, Air Dedapan Thrust Fault, and Air Tenam Thrust Fault. The morphology of the study area is located in the hilly area of baridan and near the active volcano. The influence of climate and geologic factors caused rock resiten on the slopes of hills on the side of the road experiencing a high level of weathering and Human activity, this could trigger the potential of ground motion in the research area. Furthermore, the type of ground movement consist in the research area of Eart Flow and Slump, with the potential of low to high motion.
