Abstract

This study enlltled the influence c!f producr brand image on Telkomsel cellular card buying interest (study of the social and political }acuities student year 2017 cell!llar card users). The purposes in this research are to determine and explain the influences of the brand images ofTelkomsel Cellular Cards on the buying interest of Social and Po/meal Science student year 2017 m Snwl)aya Umvers1ty who use the Telkomsel Cellu lar Cards. Th rs research conducted based on problems of whether any influence between the brand image of th e product on student buying interest dan how hig the influences of the studenl buying interest. The lheory /hat used in lhis research are brand image theory by K el/er and huymg mterest theory by Ferdinand. This research used quantitative research method. Data obtained from primary data through questionnaires and the secondary data through several documents, ev idence. and literature. The data analysis technique that used is descriptive quantitative analysis techniques and explanatnlJ' ana~ysis technique u~ing 5imple linear regression. The result of this research shown that the brand image of the product has sig11ijicant effect on the buymg interest with the variable 0,669 or ./-1,8%. 1he hypothesis accepted because hypothesis testmg shows a value oft 1s bigger than t table at significant level <!f 5% with a ratio c!f 7.805 1.992 . ft means that there are influence of the brand image product on student buying interest.
