Abstract

Mining method used in coal mining PT. Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk in mining areas, namely Air Laya Mining Method Open (Open Pit). Coal mining activities conducted in the mining area south Air Laya using conventional mining system is by using a combination excavator and excavator-unloading dump truck as a means of conveyance. Coal loading system to a dump truck using a top loading and loading position of coal use singgle truck backing up. Coal mining in PT. Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk in Quarry Air Laya has a target production in March amounted to 327.000 tonnes. Digging tools fit in use PC400 excavator backhoe while conveyance used dump trucks scania P380. Real production generated by the combination of the work amounted to 229.580 tonnes for March, while the calculation of the theoretical production produced by excavator loading 305.515,44 tonnes, while for 7 units of dump trucks scania P380 amounted to 177.981,54-197.759,54 tonnes month. To achieve the goals of production per month, to evaluate the effective working time. Effective working time that is still possible to be increased with decrease or suppress their time barriers can be avoided. By pressing time constraints that can be avoided, it will cause an increase in the efficiency of work. Production can be produced by excavatorunloading after repair work time amounted to 344.759,44 tonnes, while for 7 unit dump truck scania P380 amounting 330.701,8 tonnes. Therefore, by minimizing the time constraints of existing production targets can be achieved.
