Abstract

Pabrik pembuatan Ethylene Glycol direncanakan berlokasi di daerah Serang, Banten. Pabrik ini meliputi area seluas 7 Ha dengan kapasitas 320.000 tonper tahun.Proses pembuatan Etilen glikol dilakukan melalui proses karbonasi Ethylene Oxcide dengan Carbondioksida menjadi Ethylene Carbonat yang berlangsung di Reaktor (R-01) pada temperatur 125oC dan tekanan 24 atm dengan reaksi sebagai berikut :C2H4O + CO2 C3H4O3Etilen oksida Etilen karbonat Ethylene Carbonat kemudian dihidrolisis lebih lanjut menjadi produk Ethylene Glycol di Reaktor (R-02) pada temperatur 140oC dan tekanan 3,9 atm dengan reaksi sebagai berikut:C3H4O3 + H2O C3H4O3 + CO2Etilen karbonat Etilen Glikol kemudian dimurnikan melalui proses distilasi. Pabrik ini merupakan perusahaan yang berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi line and staff, yang dipimpin oleh seorang direktur utama dengan jumlah karyawan 218 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, maka Pabrik Pembuatan Etilen Glikolini dinyatakan layak didirikan. Dengan analisa Ekonomi berikut: o Annual Cash Flow (ACF) : US $ 82.636.321,04 o Total Capital Investment (TCI) : US $ 85.866.877,19 o Total Production Cost : US$ 808.999.712,40 o Selling Price : US $ 2.413.770.785 o Rate of Return Investment : 88,503% o Break Event Point (BEP) : 35,17% o Pay Out Time (POT) : 1,5 tahun o Service Life : 11 tahun
