Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the difference of social skill of students taught by using cooperative model of snowball throwing type with cooperative model of token type type in SMP N 15 Palembang. The method used in this research is comparative with quantitative approach. The population of this study were 288 students with the total sample of 64 students determined using non probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Data collection through documentation and observation. Hypothesis testing uses two independent sample t-test formula. The result of the research shows that there is difference of social skill of the students whose learning is using the snowball throwing learning model with the students whose learning is using the token learning model. Where proved by hypothesis test result that sig. (2-tailed) is valued <.05. That's why then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Then in the know that the average value in the two classes have different values. In snowball throwing class has an average value of 74.1250 while the average value in the token class is 68.6563.
