Abstract

The mining industry is an industry that is relied upon by the government, both in foreign exchange and in adding employment, but the mining industry can also cause some environmental problems, one of which is acid mine water. Acid water is water that has a relatively low pH (acid) caused by mining activity. Acid mine water is formed when potentially acidic rock (PAF) is exposed to water and oxygen. Mine Acid Water Management can be done in 2 ways, namely prevention and processing. Prevention can be done by encapsulation method, while the processing can be done by aeration, neutralization. Mining companies usually use lime as a reagent in the process of pH mineral acid neutralization. Acid mine acid handling can be done by pH penetration using lime tohor and Moringa oleifera which is one of acid mineral water treatment alternative because it can decrease metal content (Fe and Mn) because Moringa Oleifera or known as kelor seed is one of alternative in processing acid water mine. Seed protein and strong alkali metal which are polyelectrolyte and positive pole that can bind colloids in waste water so as to bind heavy metals contained in acid water mine To reduce the control of acid mine water is done research with lime medium tohor and moringa oleifera. This research is laboratory scale, the test is done with variation of optimum dosage of lime tohor and moringa oleifera inserted into 1L AAT with 2 hour interval. The test results showed a positive result with lime dose obtained 0.7 g / L with a rise in pH from 2.8 to 6.65 and the dose of moringa oleifera obtained was 160 g / L with an initial pH increment of 2.8 to 5, 67 and with a mercury content of 0.7 g of lime tohor + 1 g moringa oleifera succeeded in raising the pH from 2.8 to 6.65. The decrease of Fe metal content by 97,1% from 3,82 mg / L to 0,11 mg / L while Mn equal to 99,52% from initially 10,45 mg / L to 0,05 mg / L in acid water sample mines and are in conformity with environmental quality standards set by the government for Fe is 7 mg/L and 4 mg/L for Mn. The cost of lime tohor use to raise acid water pH in a single MPA amounted to Rp 1.486.071 / hour and to reduce levels of Fe and Mn metals using Moringa Oleifera cost of Rp 21.230.000/ hours.
