Abstract

Pervious concrete is a concrete that formed between the mixture of Portland cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate with less amount or nothing at all, additional mixture (admixture), and water, also pervious concrete has slump value go to zero. The research was done by making the composition of the pervious concrete with 10% silica fume as substitute of cement, with constant a/c = 2.5 and seven variation of w/c. The variation of w/c which used in this research were 0.26, 0.27, 0.28, 0.29, 0.30, 0.31, and 0.32. Fresh concrete tests in this research was slump test and hardened concrete tests in this research were density, compressive strength test, permeability test and porosity test. The result of this research showed the larger value of w/c in range of 0.26 to 0.32, compressive strength and density increased, but the permeability and porosity decreased. The compressive strength and the maximum density in this research were 10.86 MPa and 20.33 kN / m3 in the variation of w /c = 0.32. The maximum value of permeability and porosity in this research were 0.94 cm /s and 28.48% in the variation of w /c = 0.26.
