Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in grade IV of sub theme Pekerjaan Orang Tuaku using audiovisual media based on local excellence in South Sumatra at SD Negeri 109 Palembang. This study uses a classroom action research method with two cycles of action. The technique of data collection are test and observation. This classroom action research has 4 stages that must be fulfilled, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were students of class IV.E at the SD Negeri 109 Palembang with a total number of 40 students consisting of 26 males and 14 females. The results of the study show that the value of student learning outcomes has increased, this can be seen in the percentage of students' mastery learning in the first cycle of 57.5% with an average value of 67.37, in the second cycle the percentage of students' mastery learning increased to reach 85% with an average value of 83.4. This is supported by the results of observations, the activities of students who have increased, in the first cycle the percentage of student activities in learning reached 73.75% with the active category, in the second cycle it increased to 83.125% in the very active category.This proves that the use of local excellence based-audiovisual media in South Sumatra can improve the learning outcomes of Grade IV students in sub theme Pekerjaan Orang Tuaku at SD Negeri 109 Palembang.
