Abstract

Pabrik Asam Terephthalat direncanakan berlokasi di daerah Tuban, Jawa Timur. Pabrik ini meliputi area seluas 10 Ha dengan kapasitas 90.000 ton per tahun. Proses pembuatan Purified Terepthalate Acid dilakukan melalui proses oksidasi paraxylene menjadi asam p – toluat dan 4 - CBA yang berlangsung di Reaktor (R-01) pada temperatur 129 oC dan tekanan 17,765 atm dengan reaksi sebagai berikut : C6H4(CH3)2 + 3 O2 C6H4(COOH)2 + 2 H2O p-xylene Asam Terephtalat 4-CBA dan asam p- toluat dioksidasi lebih lanjut di Reaktor (R-02) pada temperatur 288oC dan tekanan 73,032 atm. Asam terephthalat dikristalisasi dan dikeringkan sehingga terbentuk Purified Terepthalate Acid. Pabrik ini merupakan perusahaan yang berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi line and staff , yang dipimpin oleh seorang direktur utama dengan jumlah karyawan 110 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, maka Pabrik Pembuatan Purified Terepthalate Acid ini dinyatakan layak didirikan. Dengan analisa Ekonomi berikut: - Investas = US $ 12 ,329.766.42 - Hasil penjualan per tahun = US $ 135.000.000,00 - Biaya produksi per tahun = US $ 92.195278,41 - Laba bersih per tahun = US $ 35.408.212,08 - Pay Out Time = 1,6 tahun - Rate of Return On Investment = 75 % - Discounted Cash Flow – ROR = 84,7 % - Break Event Point = 30,4 % - Service Life = 11 tahun
