Abstract

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY TO SOLAR COLLECTOR WITH VARIATION OF PIPE PITCH SPIRAL SHAPED Scientific Paper in the form of Skripsi, Februari 2017 Selamet Kurniawan; supervised by Ir. H.M. Zahri Kadir, M.T. KAJIAN EKSPERIMENTAL TERHADAP SOLAR COLLECTOR DENGAN VARIASI PITCH PIPA YANG BERBENTUK SPIRAL xv + 34 pages, 12 tables, 9 pictures, 2 appendixs Energy role an important thing and can not get off from human life. Nowadays almost all of human activity really depends of an energy. Which is especially a konvensional energy. An increasing needs about energy also in the reality in opposite with human needs for create a clean and free from pollution environment. Than many researchers did a various efforts about using the alternate energy among others are solar energy that is sustainable and also environmentally friendly. Because of that I interested in making a solar water heater. In this solar water heater, it used an solar collector to absorb the solar energy. The research is using the variation of distance between the pipe which is 0 cm, 0.5 cm and also 1.5 cm in the solar collector. The result of this research show that the highest average efficiency contained on distance variation 0 cm which is 26.147% dan the distance variation 1.5 cm got the lowest average efficiency about 18.442%.
