Abstract

In this study of food promoting and ordering food system based on android was built which has several features including promotional events from several restaurants, customers can order food independently by using one application, has an attractive display and features, have menus or content that is appropriate, and can accessed anytime and anywhere. This system can be accessed on android mobile devices by users (customers) and can be accessed by the chef, cashier and admin (owner) and can be controlled by the admin through the website. The methodology applied in the design is the methodology that refers to the Agile Extreme Program (XP) methodology. Some tools used in the design include analysis of 5W + 1H and SWOT at the planning stage, UML 2.0 diagrams at the design stage, CodeIgneter, Ionic and AngularJS framework at the coding stage. Stages of testing are carried out using the black box testing method. The final result to be achieved in this design is an android-based mobile application that can be downloaded on the Google Play Store so that it can be used and useful for the community, especially the people of Palembang.
