Abstract

Tidal low land have the potential and constraint which need development such as planning, management. The research was aimed to determine the planting pattern based on the SEW-30 and SEW-20. The research was conduted in the tidal low land area in vilage Mulyasari, District Tanjung Lago, regency Banyuasin. South Sumatera. The research was conduted November 25, 2014 until March 24, 2015. This research used description including climate assessment, hidrotopografi, ground water table and the value excess water in the root zone. The description method using for to analyze water table status in land and determine croping pattern based on the value of the excess water table the root zone. The results showed that area research include the catagory C3 according Oldeman. Research areas include the type of overflow C. Research areas include the type overflow C. In may (trasition season), water table soil located between 3 cm above surface soil until 38 cm under surface soil. In June to October (dry season), water tabel soil lacated between 11 cm until the 83 cm under surface soil. In November (transitional season),water table soil lacated between 23 cm above surface soil until 70 cm under surface soil. In december until March 24, 2015, (rainy season), water table soil lacated between 23 cm above surface soil until 50 cm under surface soil. The results calculation excess water SEW-30, water table located between 53 cm above critical root zone SEW-30 until 53 cm under critical root zone. The results calculation exces water SEW-20, water table located between 43 cm above critical root zone until 63 under critical root zone. The result calculation water table, area research potential do the croping pattern 3 times a year namely rice – corn- corn.
