Abstract

In the context of economic equality in all parts of Indonesia, infrastructure development is growing rapidly in line with the increasing needs of human life. The land needed for infrastructure development is increasing, including on peatland. An effective and efficient effort to increase the ability of peat soil is stabilization. This study aims to determine the effect of Bios 44 mixture as an added material in the stabilization process of peat soil with consolidation testing. Tests are carried out using an oedometer, and the tests are in accordance with ASTM D2435. The given pressure is 0.025; 0.05; 0,1; 0.2; 0.4 kg / cm2 and so on. With readings at 6, 15, 30 and 1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, 330, 420, 1140 minutes after the load is installed. After reading 1 minute the consolidation cell is filled with water. The test results obtained for the Consolidation Coefficient (Cv) with the largest Taylor method are found in the original soil mixture + 25% Bios 44 of 0.146 cm2 / sec and the Consolidation Coefficient (Cv) with the largest Cassagrande method is found in the original soil mixture + 25% Bios 44 for 0.0059 cm2 / second. The compression index (Cc) of native land is 0.039. After being mixed with Bios 44 the Cc value decreases with increasing percentage of Bios variation 44. The smallest Cc value is in the original soil mixture + 25% Bios 44 of 0.034 and the smallest Cc value is in the original soil mixture + 5% Bios 44 of 0.042. It can be concluded that this test is influenced by the number of percentage variations from Bios 44.
