Abstract

Efforts to fulfill the increasing need for large power required is always an effort to increase the efficiency of one of the efficient use of fuel and the impact on environmental pollution, in particular the efficiency of power generation. Enterprises in this efficiency improvement is done by a variety of things including increasing the use of gas turbine power plant PLTG (simple cycle) being PLTGU (combined cycle). Combined cycle is a merger between two or more cycles of mechanically into the system at a power plant. Combined cycle system consists of a number of components of the driving engine (gas turbine), HRSG and steam turbine. Combined cycle can save the use of fossil fuels for power generation simultaneously. In this study the authors analyzed the thermodynamic process according to the first law of thermodynamics on the combined cycle gas - steam turbine with a variation of 1-1-1 through a gas turbine, HRSG and steam turbine. From the calculation and analysis shows that the power generated by the gas turbine unit 2 for 52.63 MW and power using combined cycle 63.93 MW. Efficiency of gas turbine at 47.47%, HRSG at 37,68%, Steam turbine at 28.89%, and efficiency for combined cycle at 62,64%. Therefore, saving fossil fuel consumption obtained at 32.4785 tons / day.
