Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Studi Kasus Pada Siswa Yang Memiliki Konsep Diri Positif di Kelas B TK Negeri Pembina 2 Palembang dan telah dilaksanakan sejak tanggal 28 maret sampai 6 mei 2016. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Tujuanya untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran keluarga dalam terbentuknya konsep diri positif pada anak di kelas B TK Negeri Pembina 2 Palembang, untuk mencakup permasalahan diatas digunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian difokuskan pada satu populasi, yaitu kelas B1 dengan jumlah siswa 17 anak dan sampel khusus berjumlah 4 subjek di kelas B1. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peran keluarga memegang posisi yang penting dan sangat berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan kepribadian seseorang terutama pada masa awal atau usia dini. Konsep diri positif yang dimiliki anak terbentuk melalui hasil pengasuhan orang tua yang terbukti paling efektif yaitu pola asuh tipe autoritatif dan proses ini terbentuk dari lima dasar utama; 1) sikap hangat yang bersifat dinamis, 2) pola pengasuhan orang tua sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan perkembangan anak, 3) melakukan komunikasi efektif, 4) orang tua disiplin dan menjadi contoh yang baik untuk anak, 5) menetapkan garis pemisah antara daerah yang dapat diterima dan tidak dapat diterima.
