Abstract

Pest is an important problem for farmers, especially rice. In low land area of south sumatra found a species of pest from Ciccadelidae Family which might decrease rice production. The research has been conducted in the lowland rice in Pelabuhan Dalam, Pemulutan, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra Province. Making bioinsecticide was performed in the Laboratory of Entomology, Department of Pest and Plant, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This diseases research from May 2014 until January 2015. This research purpose to was started analyze the effect of liquid bioinsecticide application of B. bassiana againts populations and Pest insect attacks on the rice plant and analyze the effect of bioinsecticide application of B. bassiana on the abundance and diversity of spiders. The method used in this research a randomized block design method, which consists of 3 treatments and 4 was replication. Results of this study found that 5 families of insect pests Delphacidae, Ciccadelidae, Pentatomidae, Pyralidae and Acrididae that attack rice plants, while the spider was found six families that Lycosidae, Araneidae, Tetragnathidae, Linypiidae, lynx spider, and jumping spider in lowland swamp rice fields Pemulutan. The treatment consisted of a bioinsecticide B. bassiana, bioinsecticide B. thuringiensis and Control. The treatment conclusion from this research that the application bioinsecticide contains not B. bassiana was able to suppress the pest insect populations family Delphacidae, Ciccadelidae, Pentatomidae, and Acrididae While B. thuringiensis bioinsecticide active ingredient can suppress the pest insect populations Family Pyralidae. but biopesticide active ingredient B. bassiana and B. thuringiensis biopesticide active ingredients do not affect the abundance and diversity of spider species.
