Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu pada tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei. Populasi penelitian yang berjumlah 157 siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 40 siswa dari kelas XI diambil dengan Simple Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala psikologis model likert dengan jumlah item 30 pernyataan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Mean dan Standar Deviasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemandirian belajar berada di kategori sedang yang mencakup dua aspek yaitu, prakarsa siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas dan prakarsa siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di rumah. Siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu masih membutuhkan orang lain untuk menyelesaikan tugasnya.
