Abstract

The aim of the research was to study Digestibility value of dry matter, organic matter, Total VFA concentration and pH of beef cattle ration with various content of legume in vitro. The research was held from July to November 2015 at Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, SriwijayaUniversity. Completely randomized experimental design with 4 treatment and 4 replication was applied on this research. The treatments were P0 (70% fermented kumpai copper grass + 30% concentrate), P1(55% fermented kumpai copper grass + 7,5% leucena leucocephala + 7,5% Neptunia oleracea Lour + 30% concentrate), P2(55% fermented kumpai copper grass + 7,5% acacia villosa + 7,5% Neptunia oleracea Lour + 30% concentrate), P3(55% fermented kumpai copper grass + 5% leucena leucocephala + 5% Neptunia oleracea Lour + 5% acacia villosa + 30% concentrate). The observed parameters were digestibility value of dry matter, organic matter, Total VFA concentration and pH. The result showes that the additiom of different legumes showed real effect (P>0,05) on the dry matter, organic matter, and total VFA concentration and no effect was not significant (P>0,05), the degree of acidity pH livestock ration in vitro. In conclusion, various content of legumes on 7,5% leucena leucocephala, 7,5% Neptunia oleracea Lour and 55% fermented kumpai copper grass has optimal result on dry matterdigestibility 59,50%, organic matterdigestibility 56,58%, Total VFA concentration 86,25 mM and pH 6,85 on beef cattle ration.
