Abstract

Research (Research Dr. Nurhayati, M pd Fkip/education and language arts. unsri, 2012) of 36 students prompted just 12 people (33%) Watch the staging Dulmuluk to complete. The reason is Dulmuluk they watch a very monotonous aspects of the story are shown. South Sumatra artists need a place as a means of developing the distinctive artwork of South Sumatra, accounting for 12 x even fine art (2015) was held in the building rent (hall conventation) consists of artists fine art, music, theatre or arts and cultural communities (DKP). South Sumatra requires revitalizing the exiting cultural centre but it is not functioning properly or it can be said did not meet categories of the cultural center that serves as a cultural center of Sumatra South. Planning and designing cultural center is done through approach to the theory of modern post architecture by applying the contextualism, hitoristic (traditional-modern), and social (communal space). Draft results be a Center for performing arts and exhibition gallery as orientation activities and other supporting facilities such as the library and cafeteria as a means of cultural information and means of support.
