Abstract

This study aims to investigate the development of the ability to run 100 m through sprint training methods, motivation and nutritional status. His study aim to: (1) the differences between the influence of training ?light speed? methods? and training ?wall drills? to the result running of 100, (2) the differences between the influence of ?high nutrient status? and ?low nutrient status? to the result running of 100-meter, (3) the differences between the influence of ?high nutrient status? and ?low nutrient status? to the result running of 100-meter, (4) the interactions between the ?sprint training method? and the ?achievement motivation? to the result running of 100-meter, (5) the interactions between the ?sprint training method? and ?nutritional status? to the result running of 100-meter, (6) the interactions between the ?achievement motivation? and ?nutritional status? to the result running of 100-meter, adn (7) the interactions between the ?sprint training method?, ?motivation?, and ?nutritional status? to the result running of 100-meter The type of this study is an experimental research design with a factorial 2 x 2 x 2. The study used three instruments, two items of the tests and a questionnaire form. The test was given; the first is the speed test to know the results running of 100 meters; the second is the Body Mass Index test, to determine the nutritional status; and to determine the level of motivation, it is used by using the distribution of questionnaires. There were 112 male students as the populations were taken as the sample which from the Sport Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Bina Darma University Palembang. This study used The Varian Statistical Analysis (ANOVA) and the Post-Hoc testing with Scheffe technique of 0.05 significance level by using a test for normality and homogeneity test firstly. The conclusion of this study, namely: (1). There are the differences between the influence of training ?light speed? methods? and training ?wall drills? to the result running of 100-meter (Fh 16.810 > Ft3.94 ). (2). There are the differences between the effect of ?high motivation? and ?low motivation? to the result running of 100-meter. (Fh 5.690> 3.94 ft). (3). There are the differences between the influence of ?high nutrient status? and ?low nutrient status? to the result running of 100-meter (Fh 8.381> Ft 3.94). (4). There are the interactions between the ?sprint training method? and the ?achievement motivation? to the result running of 100-meter (Fh 4.885> Ft3.94 ). (5). There are the interactions between the ?sprint training method? and ?nutritional status? to the result running of 100-meter (Fh 4.302 > Ft 3.94). (6) There are the interactions between the ?achievement motivation? and ?nutritional status? to the result running of 100-meter (Fh 1.710 < Ft 3.94). The sixth hypothesis was rejected, because based on the results of the hypothesis testing there is no interaction between them. (7). There are the interactions between the ?sprint training method?, ?motivation?, and ?nutritional status? to the result running of 100-meter (Fh 4.317> Ft 3.94). Conclusion, that the use of proper exercise, good motivation and good nutritional condition will give a positive effect to the ability of the results of one's 100-meter dash. It is recommended to use the sprint training methods to improve the results of the 100 meter dash.
