Abstract

This research aims to the influence of parents parenting toward democratic attitude to the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan. The population of the study was all the students class VII of SMPN 1 Indralaya Selatan, with 138 total number of the students. The sample of this study was 28 students which were taken by using Proportionate stratified random sampling, from 20% of total population. The data of the study were collected by using documentation and questionnaire. Questionnaire was administered to the ninth grade students as the sample of this research. Technique for collecting the data was analyzed by using Chi Square analysis. Based on the result of data analysis and discussion so, it means that parents parenting influenced students democratic attitude with the percentage 72.09% and 79.83%. It means that parents parenting influenced the student’s democratic attitude.
